Starting your puppy’s grooming journey early helps build lifelong confidence, reduces anxiety and makes future grooms stress-free, for both of you. Despite common myths, often shared by well-meaning breeders, that a puppy’s coat shouldn’t be trimmed until they’re a year old, gentle early introductions to grooming are vital.

Our Puppy Introduction Package is thoughtfully designed for puppies under 6 months old and is the only puppy-specific service we offer. It includes three gradual and personalised sessions, all held in a calm, reassuring environment where your puppy can explore at their own pace.
Session One: Salon Introduction
Your puppy will be gently introduced to the grooming salon—hearing the sounds of the dryers, clippers, and water, and observing other dogs being groomed. We’ll use plenty of positive reinforcement (and treats!) to help them associate grooming with good things.
They’ll also receive a nail trim and go home with a puppy starter pack that includes grooming brushes suited to their coat, tasty treats, and a few goodies to welcome them to their new routine.
Session Two: Bath & Blow Dry
This visit builds on the first with further treat-based positive reinforcement. Your puppy will enjoy a gentle bath and fluff dry so we can assess their comfort with water and drying equipment. They’ll leave with more treats and a little more confidence!
Session Three: First Full Groom
Time for their very first full groom! We’ll style your puppy to your preferences while keeping the experience calm and positive. They’ll head home looking great, smelling lovely, and wearing a fabulous bandana, plus a bottle of fragrance spray to keep them feeling fresh between grooms.
Throughout the introduction, we focus on making grooming a happy experience and give you the tools and advice to support coat care at home. It's the perfect start to a lifetime of stress-free grooms.
