At Furology, caring for dogs goes beyond the groom itself. We also care about how our salon runs and the impact it has on the world around us.

Dog grooming is naturally power hungry. Warm showers, high velocity dryers, and the constant washing and drying of towels all use a significant amount of energy.

That’s why we’ve invested in solar panels and battery storage, helping us use cleaner, renewable energy wherever possible.

It’s likely your dog’s groom will be powered, at least in part, by the sun. On brighter days this can be almost entirely solar, while on cloudier days stored energy helps reduce what we take from the grid.

We actively manage how we use our energy too. Using our live dashboard, we monitor when we have excess solar and run higher energy tasks like the washing machine and tumble dryer at those times.
